I've heard that its heavily influenced from Matt's frequenting of the New York club scene over the winter. Im not sure about that, but the more I listen to it I can certainly hear his new found love for the "african groove"!
I'd love a cover like the one above. It would be Spinal Tap 'Smell the Glove' all over again. I'd buy it on LP and hang it on my wall. Actually I'd hang it on my front door.
