YouTube Deep Purple Collaborators

There I was, surfing around looking for videos of Jon Lord at CalJam '73 (cos my copy got lost) when I came across some Canadian called Drumguy1988 performing a note perfect rendition of the drum part to "You Fool No One"... wait till the the hats and the bass come in:

Never underestimate the power of a paradiddle! He has more Deep Purple related videos and I was about to start playing along myself when I spotted the following video. Paplooo plays along to DrumGuy's rendition of Space Trucking (Made in Japan). While the drumming is spotless the organ part is more impromptu although it does contain many of the authentic themes. Sound generation comes from Native Instruments B4, and it seems to have improved a lot since I used an earlier version years ago. And a Motif Yamaha is used as a midi controller (everyone has a motif but me). Im not sure if the ring-modulator part was put on afterwards though.

Only a few years ago, it seemed amazing to chat with someone on the other side of the world over the internet. Now perfect strangers can make decent music videos together, streaming music videos at that. It can be done so easily nowadays that we don't even think about it. I wonder what else will we be able to do in another 10 years time.
