I saw a flyer for PJ Harvey in the Bróg on Sunday last. I was quite surprised to see her name listed on a flyer in the Bróg of all places. Not only that, but she played Dublin only last December. Then I reread it; it actually said "DJ" Harvey. I always felt that to be a shit stage-name to be honest. Harvey might be his real first name but I doubt he'd have gone for DJ Johnny if his name was such. It's more likely that in the early days he thought it cool to sound like PJ Harvey, but then he found the name stuck. Can't wait to see an Irish DJ hijack "DJ Carey's" name, and unleash "The mighty wheels of ash". Anyway, that little incident is a perfect excuse to lash up a video by Harvey (PJ).
Yeah, "Dress" from her debut album is an obvious choice, but its so damn good, I just had to put it up. Any track from that album would be worth including.
