I told you it was big. Over 3.5" long at full leg extension. It galloped towards me last night across my living room floor. It's a right sign of Autumn approaching when these things start running around indoors. I always get them at this time of year anyway. Last week I had a smaller one do a "Mission:Impossible" off the ceiling onto my shoulder while I lay in bed.
I don't mind spiders really, but I certainly don't like big ones running around the place unsupervised. They have to be dealt with on the spot. If you study the movement of spiders, especially the big ones, you can begin to see animal qualities within their behavior. They're quite inquisitive and so obviously frightened of us. I once told a girlfriend not to be afraid, that if she just took the time to look she would begin to see them as just playful 8-legged kittens... she used to like cats before I said that.

I don't mind spiders in the house, not that I have any where I'm living now. At least if you have them, you know they'll kill all the other little critters crawling about.
yeah, like the neighbours hopefully.
