I got a nice Happy New Year message from the tolls people when I took the Fermoy Bypass/M8 Motorway today: The toll has gone up another ten cent to €1.90. I had €1.80 ready for them and when they wanted more all I had was €0.20 so they got €2 off me in total. I left them a Happy New Year gift though.... two black lines of rubber. Cunts!
They seem to have this 6 month increase trend going on, so in six months time it will be upto €2. Be warned anyway, the toll for non commercial vehicles now stands at:
