Some art I did on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I've never really painting anything with a mouse and software before. I've done vector art but not anything half serious with a paint effect.
Like most things I started this as a joke, to illustrate what popped into my head when friend told me they had to bring their RV to the "Dump Station". I'm sure you can guess what a dump station involves regarding RV's. I had never heard the expression before and I thought it sounded kinda cool, like some sort of refuse station in space (think Red Dwarf). So I started sketching out something crap, then it got serious.
While doing it I thought about creating a blog where I could post sci-fi fiction every week revolving around a story based on the concept of a space "dump station". I created the blog, but I doubt I'll ever post anything beyond the first post I published on it. You can view it here:

Yeah well I think Blueface do better art. You should ring them. They did art for my Uncles Sistine Chapel and it was mind-blowing stuff so it was. Honest.
ReplyDeleteBlueface!? Blew the face off me, more like! I tried them before but their service is so loaded with techno I just couldnt handle the megabytes. I very nearly didn't draw ever again after that experience.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty nice picture whatever technology you used to produce it (I'm technologically illiterate). It certainly made me think about things, maybe even could inspire a SF story or two?
ReplyDeleteI used a bag of hamsters and three pints of Yak milk to paint it.
ReplyDeleteYes, more low-brow hi-tech sci-fi fiction is needed!
