I said I'd have to throw an audio clip at you since it is an audio program afterall. This is a very simple piece of drum loop wankery fed through a Line6 Guitar Amp module included with Record, and I have the "Master Compressor" on the mixer cranked up too (that master compressor rocks!).Basically what you'll hear is the loop played clean first, then the Line6 module is flicked on (apologies about the bad timing, there was an inherent latency with my recording setup). Then I begin to drop the envelope amount on the oscillator pitch and around 15 seconds and it all sounds lovely. More wanking with the osc. and filter envelopes ensue, before I move my attention to the "wah" effect on the Line6 module.
I quite like the distortion effects, its different from the Scream module at the very least, which can at times become a little too "obvious".

Huh that's interesting...is that software your using?
ReplyDeleteI use a drum machine and crank up the volume to get that fuzz effect.
I may post an or two up for you hear.
I like the possibilities on that...more info?????
Oh I saw the post below...ok that's the info I needed.
ReplyDeleteYes basic distortion effects are based on overamplifying the source audio creating overtone harmonics.
ReplyDeleteI use Reason for all my music (unless otherwises stated). Its made by the same people who are making Record.
