What Would Make Twitter Good

I always felt that Twitter should be used for middleware only, not as a end service in its own right. Now I see the true genius of my initial vision. Imagine if Twitter was used for all commenting technology across blogs and other web 2.0 sites. Every single comment from everywhere could swarm and merge together and create omni-trends across the net. Make a comment on youtube video about a panda taking a piss, it gets added to the #pandapiss trend on Twitter. Of course, that moronic limitation* of 140 characters would have to go (it has to go eitherway)
