I'm terrified. If Eircom can be compromised then we surely have reached the end of the internet age. Rumours have it that http://www.celticweb.com/ are next on the hackers' list. They won't find that such an easy target though: the site is protected by thousands of teenage leprechauns on Linux.
Yeah I've been thinking a lot recently about utilising OpenDNS. During a typical week, I use 4 different internet connections on about 12 machines or so, which usually means I don't have a concurrent problem with each but sometimes shit happens. Been tinkering with http-tunneling again to get free 3G broadband, as they only disconnect you with by port blocking. I also noticed that downloading something from a google server on that 3G connection works even when I'm out of credit.

ReplyDeleteThey're on Linux? Fuck, is it addictive?
ReplyDeleteIt starts off well but then you get frustrated.
ReplyDeleteLike sex with a limp willy.
ReplyDeleteDNS fail. Happens all the time. Get OpenDNS instead. (But make sure you register an account and turn of their content filtering :p )
