So I was doing a spot of Google Image searching, as I often do. One of tonights search terms was Freddie Mercury. The above pic was the first image I found of note. I love UHQ images. Say what you like about "Feddie Mercury the mouse" he sure holds more resemblance to the former Queen front-man than this individual. Johan Wiberg appears to be a Swedish Freddie Mercury impersonator (crazy Swedes at it again). I think he looks more like a melancholic Scat Man John to be honest, but who knows, maybe he sings like Mercury reincarnate! The next UHQ image is of Katy Perry. I think it has something to do with the fact that she has a tattoo of Freddie Mercury on her arse or something (don't we all ;-) ). Katy Perry, an interesting individual. Not the greatest looking bag of spanners in the world, but blessed with big maracas. The thing is, I saw her without makeup recently and while a bit on the dodgey side she looked much better, very natural and cute looking. That 3 inches of makeup she wears every day can't be good to her health, or the environment. Save the whales Katy, and all that other bullshit!
I have no idea what this is about, but you can't argue with a caricature of Apple owner, Steve Jobs. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Steve Jobs is dying from AIDS? I'm too lazy to search through the page to find out though. So you're a bit of a queen fan eh? Saw Queen light (just Brian and Roger) in 05...wish I had seen them in their day...we have all their autographs at home...they are the prized family possession.

I went to see Brian May in the Point Depot in 1993. I have a love/hate feeling about the guy, as well as with Roger. Roger is good fun and likes to have a laugh at his own goings on, but he's produced some woeful solo stuff. I have all his albums and I can safely say it's all tripe. Don't get me wrong, they all hold good memories and thats what music is mainly about afterall but it's still awful stuff. May's solo music is a bit hit and miss. He did a lovely sound track for a French film called Furia a few years back but his last solo album was a poor copy-cat of his much better Back To The Light album.
From a PR and general wankery point of view, I can't stand either of them. We Will Rock You: The Musical? Nuff' said!
Freddie on the other hand... Freddie is eternal and he will always be a strong influence on my life, but musically and personally.
Look after those autographs! :)
Freddie is the most talented lead singer in music history in my opinion. His voice was astounding and made everyone forget about his sexuality.
Freddie will always be awesome!
