I painted this during this evenings British Leaders Debate on BBC1. It's not that it wasn't interesting, it's just that well, we've heard it all before (three was one too many me thinks). Anyway, I'm not sure if this looks like a cherry blossom tree against a darkened sky or whether it looks like someone ate too much raspberry ice-cream and had an accident on the bathroom floor. Good fun either-way, and painted from memory from scenes I saw while out and about today.
Nice work Gamma. Looks lovely, and reminds me of a crepe myrtle or wisteria; two of my favourite trees.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm very impressed. That's quite a talent you have there. I'm guessing then you have an art background or are you one of those utterly sickening people who need no guidance whatsoever?
ReplyDeleteCoastal Aussie: Neither of which are varieties of Cherry Blossom. Hmmmm what does that mean about my painting then :-\ lol Crepe myrtle is Japanese though, so I guess that counts for something :)
ReplyDeleteThe Shape: I did art in secondary school. It gave me an opportunity to draw and experiment every week, but nothing substantial was ever taught. Other than that, I just try out things from time to time.
Thanks to you both! :)
