Just went through a few old cd-r's. Came across one from about 5 years ago where the foil backing fell off when I picked it up. Thankfully there was only crap on the disc, but now I need to go through the rest and see if I need to back anything up before the same happens to them.
This is why people say digital media will lead to an information blackspot for future historians and archeologists... or something. If anything is left after 2012 of course.
