I always see a lot of talk about Dáithí's age. It must be a fiercely guarded secret or something. I give some insight to it above though.
[UPDATE] Thanks to the BMD for finding secret content, on my own blog no less, I can confirm that in 2007 Daithi was only 30. Quite how he managed this is still a mystery. Quantum time travel perhaps? It might explain a lot of things. The evidence appears from 20 seconds into [ the video ].
Thank you for drawing this to the attention of your readers. The thought that Daithi was only 34 was scaring the bejaysus out of me for some reason.
I have to be careful though because daithi has started commenting on my blog now, and I don't want him to find out I know his real age, in case he feels hurt.
I noticed he had appeared alright, and with his brother or something. Very interesting stuff. You'll have to be extra careful with what you write about him there now :)
I forgot to put this into the post: the BMD found evidence of Daithi being only 30 in 2007. I've updated my blog post to reflect this now. He could still be 34 going on those figures. Very odd. I think someone may have made a temporal dichotomy in their trousers...
If he was only 30 in 2007 he would be only 33 now, it is still 2010, at least I hope it is still 2010 and that it is not 2011, it is definitely Winter anyway.
I know your blog has magical powers but surely it is not possible for a year to pass by reading it without realising.
As ever even on the new BMD evidence (and heaven knows the international espionage BMD had to engage in to get this information) something doesn't quite add up about Daithi's age.
I included both versions of your comment. I think the readers like it when the can see both the original and "directors cut" of a story.
While I admire the effort you have made to take this matter of Daithi being involved an "age cover-up" so seriously, I feel you have let the romance of the idea rule over the logic of your argument.
The interview in question took place on February 15th, 2007. Let us assume he celebrated his 31st birthday sometime after that. It is then completely possible for him to have celebrated his 34th birthday earlier this year.
If my blog has hypnotised you for a year, I do apologise. I operated a strict "no evidence, no return" policy though, so I hope you kept your receipt.
A search of contemporary newspaper articles indicates that he was 29 on the 9th August 2006, 30 on the 10th August 2006 and then went back to being 29 on the 28th August 2006. This is very strange.
He looks shockingly old for a 34 year old despite having all his hair, genuinely, all the 34 year old men I know look much younger. I would blame the lighting in the RTE studios only he looks much older than Claire Byrne who I think is 35 or 36. Everyone I showed BMD's photo of them to was struck by the age difference, for instance.
I take your point about his birthday falling after the interview. Maths is not my strong point. However I am a bit better at astrology. If you had his star sign, we could work out when his birthday is.
I have now consulted UTV news (RTE being highly unreliable these days) which has confirmed that it is still 2010, so I will not be looking for time back from you just yet. I will however keep that receipt, just in case.
I think he looks alright, then again I'm not the best judge of these things. I imagine he has one of those faces that may look prematurely old but won't age after that, like Sean Connery.
"BMD's photo": what photo was that?
"I am a bit better at astrology": hoodoo voodoo never solved anything.
I see... the image you were shocked by, and equated with Neil Prendeville exposing himself. And you then went around showing it to people? I must say, you are a complex one aren't you.
It is no secret that the infamous photo went further afield than I expected. As already detailed at some length in the comments on BMD's site (different Daithi post), the Granny saw the photo by accident and told a few of her friends, who then apparently logged on to have a look.
However I emphasise that any exposure of the photo by me was not deliberate though I did feel some (unjustified) shame and guilt until the Granny remarked that she had seen it all before anyway. I am not sure if she was talking in the general or the specific sense, but didn't dare ask.
I wouldn't see myself as particularly complex, like Paddington Bear I am a simple creature, I just tend to get myself into accidental messes like the one above.

I posted a comment on this but I think it might have been eaten by the blogspot comment hounds.
If it has in fact been spat out again please ignore this one.
Just to say, if Daithi was 30 in 2007 he would be 33 now not 34, it is only 2010, not 2011.*

You are of course correct and in fact I know very little about astrology. Still, I think Daithi is a Leo.
what photo was that?
The nekkid one of himself and Claire.
