Lindsey Vonn won her first Giant Slalom in the opening race in the women's FIS Alpine Skiing 2011/2012 World Cup, at Sölden, Austria, on Saturday. And aren't we all delighted, I know I am! And even better, Maria Hoefl-Riesch came down the mountain sideways, to finish nowhere! Oh joy. With half the German team suffering busted legs received during Summer training, I just know this is going to be a great season! o_o At least Rebensburg managed to finish in a close second place.
I sometimes wonder if Vonn should be disqualified for cheating. The weight of her ego is surely an aid in coming down the mountain faster.
