David Norris does some shopping in Dublin today. He has selected a child of the female variety. I hope he keeps a receipt, I fear he may want to return it for the other model. Zing!
I genuinely think David Norris would have made an excellent president, during "The Boom". All that partying we were doing, fuck man, Norris would have been Ireland's answer to Freddie Mercury! There would have been all kinds of cocaine parties up in Phoenix Park. Instead what we had was Mary MankyCheese, who had all the party mentality of Oliver Cromwell.
I joke, because much like the deflated optimisim of "The Boom", we now are left feeling dejected as more and more truths about David Norris become uncovered. There has been an awful lot of spin put on it, of course, but the reactions by Norris have been most depressing. I'm reflecting on all the people I've met who have critacised him in the past. I really don't know what to think anymore.

I would really like to vote for Norris, but he just makes it so difficult.
ReplyDeleteIt's like he's trying to sabotage himself :-)
On a separate, but not entirely unrelated issue, the range & extent of annoying voices among this batch of candidates is incredible.
Yes exactly. The man is clearly stubborn because it's hard to believe none of his team or even a friend hasn't sat him down and told him to calm things down.
ReplyDeleteHis main appeal has always been his personality and that appears to have gone awol. What we're left with is scandal after scandal, which might not actually matter if he just came out with his hands up. All this show boating at press conferences where he tries to argue his way around answering just comes across as... as a bit "P. Flynn" really.
And all those quotes he uses? Yikes. What the man needs now is to be seen as a bit more human, not a creature from the depths of a dusty old library. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course, but when you are facing accusations of paedo-support, quoting Blake doesn't cut it with the common folk.
Quite honestly, he comes across as a bit manic, a bit like a mental patient on day release.
ReplyDeleteThe voice does not help, it gives me a headache. Not that he is any better on paper lol. He's best in photos.
Gay Mitchell makes a nice contrast, if you want to use the bipolar comparison, he is as depressing as a wet Wednesday.
I actually like wet Wednesdays, but I don't like Gay Mitchell. I somehow imagine that if you cut his throat, wet cigarette ash would spill from the wound. The man is very grey, like dustbin in a crematorium.
ReplyDeleteI'd go one further with Norris. He appeared like a fledgling maniac at certain times on the debates. He frightened me a little. I would not be surprised if he seeks psychological assistance after the campaign.
I DO NOT THINK IT IS FAIR TO SAY THAT HE IS TAKING A CHILD AWAY THERE IS A TENDENCY TO SUSPECT ALL MEN WHO LIKE TO BE AROUND CHILDREN BUT IT REALLY IS A SIMTOM OF OUR SICK CULTURE THAT EVERYONE THINKS SUCH BAD TAUGHTS ABOUT ALL MEN. IF NURRIS WANTS TO HAVE FUN WITH KIDS THEN YOU OWE HIM THE BENEIFT OF THE DOUBT THAT HE HAS NO ILL-WILL TOWARDS THE CHILDREN UNTIL THEY SAY HE HAS INTERFERED WITH THEM SOEMHOE COULD THEN INVESTIGATE TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY INJURIES ON THE CHILKD
